With over 3500 employees company-wide, Icon Group's global footprint includes over 45 world class cancer treatment centres, specialist surgical centres, a health screening service, 5 chemotherapy compounding facilities, over 70 pharmacies and an expansive cancer research division.Given the size of Icon, we can provide opportunities within an ideal environment to develop your experience and be part of an innovative market leader at the forefront of cancer care.About the Role:We are looking for a new Senior Finance Officer to join our finance team supporting our Aus/NZ Cancer Care division.The short and sweet basis of this role is to complete and analyse financial information through collaboration with the finance team to ensure timely, accurate and appropriate information.This role reports to the Financial Controller – Cancer Services AUThis is a 12 month contract position, based in Icon's global head office in South Brisbane, business precinctKey Responsibilities of the role, and team, include:Technical and OperationalEnd of month activities as outlined in the finance timetable including but not limited to:Key responsibilities:Manage the receipting of payments for VMO's and HospitalsProcess weekly payments following reconciliation of remittancesPopulate and balance the Doctor's EFT spreadsheetProcess refunds and transfers as directedProvide advice and field enquiry calls in relation to doctor's invoices, payments or health fundsBalance cash, cheque and credit card transactionsReconcile EFTPOS transactions to daily banking reportsMonitor the clearing account for EFT payments received from health funds, and reconcile with all relevant practice management systemsAssist with management of hospital and medical debtSupport the year end audit processAssist with the formulation of accounting/business policies and procedures and ensure they are adhered to and applied consistently.People and PerformanceBe an active and contributing member of your team and your team's overall performance to ensure the core values are consistently demonstratedParticipate in on-the-job training and development programs to ensure knowledge and skills are adequate to fulfil operational requirementsBe an active participant in the Performance and Grow programSelection CriteriaDiploma or Degree qualification in Accounting or relevant qualification or working towardsIntermediate computer literacy (particularly word, excel and email) combined with sound keyboarding skillsProven ability to prioritise workload and forward plan to ensure work and information is complete and commitments are fulfilledProven ability to work independently while being able to build collaborative relationships to develop, maintain and strengthen partnerships with customers, clients and colleaguesDemonstrated ability to effectively and independently solve problems whilst ensuring service standards are not compromisedCommitment to personal responsibility, accountable for actions taken and a high attention to detailSome knowledge of GST and PAYGDemonstrated commitment to customer service in the provision of a high quality service that meets or exceeds customer expectationsDemonstrated willingness to share ideas and perspectivesWhy choose us?
