**About the Role**

The position is responsible for working in collaboration with the CEO and Executive team to provide key clinical support operational services and undertake activities to achieve optimal care and service within NBH.

The position is responsible for leading the delivery of high quality clinical support services (i.e. non-clinical services) across the following departments: biomedical engineering, car parking; catering; equipment management; housekeeping; mail room; maintenance; security; and selected third party providers (asset management and retail).

The Manager - Support Services will provide strategic direction regarding clinical support services to ensure cost effective and efficient service delivery, including understanding the needs of the clinical services and how the non-clinical services are required to support and collaborate, including the key role these departments provide in differentiation of the public/private provisions.

They will take an active role in the development, establishment and evaluation of WHS and Quality services to ensure optimal safety for clinical and non-clinical services within the Hospital.

**Selection Criteria**:

- Tertiary qualifications in relevant Business, Finance or Healthcare Management or significant experience in a senior health care operational leadership position
- Demonstrated ability to deliver outstanding business results, with proven experience in a role with >$100m revenue organisation
- Proven ability to grow a health care business, including strong commercial acumen and leading complex negotiations and business development initiatives
- Demonstrated ability to lead and develop teams
- Experience in delivering operational compliance and legislative requirements in support services
- Commitment to quality health care delivery and an understanding of ACHS/National Standards requirements
