Requisition ID: 36394- Job Location(s): Rowville, AU Huntingwood, AUThis role will help drive safe and quality outcomes across a national footprint, working to implement robust safety and quality systems and drive core stakeholder relationships to enact positive performance in key Quality and OH&S objectives.
**Responsibilities**:
Responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to, the following:
- Ensure compliance with EH & S program ensuring that all company and statutory obligations are met, and that the highest standard of employee safety is always maintained.
- Develop and implement local EHS policies and procedures manual, in conjunction with the global guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with environmental, health and safety regulations.
- Conduct EHS compliance audits and conduct ad hoc spot-check safety audits as required.
- Follow up on any corrective health and safety actions raised.
- Educate and oversee employees on health and safety procedures and regulations as required.
- Track the number of incidents and update data for reporting needs.
- Monitor key risks such as hazardous substances, Plant risk, Traffic management etc.
- Investigate any accidents to determine the root cause, provide recommendations to eliminate future hazards or risks and ensure management follows through on recommendations.
- Develop, implement and maintain the Quality Management System in accordance with ISO9001:2015.
- Ensure all amendments to the Quality Management System are regularly reviewed, updated and communicated.
- Conduct internal quality audits.
- Lead the annual quality review process with third party auditors.
- Follow up on any quality corrective actions raised.
**Background & Skills**:
- Minimum Diploma in Health and Safety
- 5-10 years of EHS and Quality Management experience within manufacturing/distribution organisation.
- Sound understanding of the Health and Safety Act
- Sound understanding of the ISO 9001: 2015 quality control principles.
- Ability to demonstrate excellence in implementing best practices, SOPs, and strategizing to achieve overall safety and quality excellence.
- Strong problem-solving skills coupled with being a critical thinker and solution focused
- Leadership skills are essential, instilling a culture that prioritizes quality and safety.
- Be highly collaborative with site leads to create initiatives together, create strategy, to deliver outcomes.
- Excellent organizational skills.
