We are looking for someone to start ASAP for a 6-month contract paying $775.19 p/d + Super.

**About the Role**

We are currently seeking to appoint a Technical Writer. This position assists in the provision of high-level business presentation, standardisation and publication of a range of documents for technical disciplines. It is responsible for preparation of high quality corporate key documents by consolidating inputs from various stakeholders across the business.

**Key accountabilities include**:

- Write, review and edit technical documents including engineering manuals, procedures, specifications and standards in accordance with the Department.
- Ensure publication of documentation in hard copy, electronic or web based is consistent and reflects a professional and competent approach to engineering documentation.
- Manage the document production process from start to finish, including incorporating changes from stakeholders and revising documents as new issues arise.
- Determine the needs of end users of technical documentation and ensure that the documents are produced clearly and communicate complex and technical information more easily.
- Provide secretariat functions to the Asset Management Branch including professional engineers, Principal Managers, Chief Engineer and Director Asset Management Branch and undertake document control and records management activities as required by the Branch.

**About You**
- Previous experience in a similar role preferably within NSW Government.
- Demonstrated ability to produce high quality documentation according to quality standards and within specified timeframes
- Knowledge of current and emerging trends and best practice in written communication particularly related to the production of technical and government publications.
- Significant experience in using software packages in preparing professional documentation.
