**Your new role**

In your new role, you will be working as part of a small crew, you will be involved in all facets of underground, overhead and substation construction and maintenance activities as well as emergency restoration work. As well as after-hours fault & emergency response work when required.

The main responsibilities will be:

- Start-up tasks and operating plant and equipment
- Street lighting maintenance and installation and pole replacement and dressing pole
- Working at heights (overhead switching, overhead transformer replacement)
- Overhead switching, operating and maintaining/ replacing switchgear
- Fault-finding/ testing and inspections

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Trade Qualification as an Electrical Fitter Mechanic or Distribution Powerline Worker
- Sound knowledge of construction and maintenance practices for the underground and overhead distribution network
- Experience in installation, repair and maintenance of both overhead and underground substations
- Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Personal commitment to working safely and good knowledge of OH&S policies and procedures covering field operations
- Current MR driving licence
- Customer-centric approach
- HR and HC licence
- WorkCover Certificates: EWP, C2, DG & Forklift
- Traffic Control Certificates
- Switching capability
- Ability to use iPads and Microsoft Office
