Traineeships are a great way to work, and get paid while you learn new job skills. You will be employed, receive training subsidised by the NSW Government and receive a Nationally Recognised Qualification that leads to other opportunities. Your duties may include but not be limited to;
- A desire to educate children, their development and future education.
- You will need to be self-motivated, honest, reliable and a team player.
- Develop and implement curriculum plans tailored to the developmental stages and individual needs of children.
- Use play-based and hands-on learning strategies to encourage exploration, creativity, and curiosity.
- Adapt teaching methods to accommodate diverse learning styles, abilities, and cultural backgrounds.
- Observe and assess the developmental progress of each child.
- Address any behavioral or developmental challenges in partnership with parents and specialists when needed.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and positive classroom environment that supports emotional well-being and self-confidence.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and child-friendly environment.
- Establish and enforce routines, rules, and procedures to support a structured and safe learning space.
- Supervise children at all times to ensure their safety.
- Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on their child's progress and share insights on development.
- Work closely with other educators and staff to align teaching methods and curriculum goals.
- Participate in team meetings and professional development activities.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, incidents, and assessments.
- Prepare progress reports and developmental profiles for individual children.
- Ensure compliance with regulations, licensing requirements, and organizational policies.
