Your work will include field surveys, report writing, proposal preparation, and contributing to day-to-day project activities.
Youll have the chance to be involved in a wide range of projects that deliver innovative environmental and ecological solutions for our clients.As a Graduate Ecologist, you will:Receive on-the-job training and mentoring from highly respected environmental professionals.Contribute to projects in ecological assessment, environmental impact assessment, vegetation management, monitoring, planning, and conservation assessment.Collaborate with colleagues across multiple disciplines and locations.Build your skills in client engagement and liaising with government and regulatory authorities.This is a fantastic opportunity to develop your expertise, gain hands-on experience, and grow your career in a supportive and collaborative environment.
You will also play a key role in helping us deliver on our vision of:Leading with science, to inform critical environmental decisions, and deliver positive solutions.About youIf youre looking for a company where you can grow your passion for ecology, follow your purpose, and contribute to meaningful environmental solutions, wed love to hear from you.To be successful in this role, you will ideally bring:A genuine passion for the environment - please provide a short (up to 300 words) summary outlining why you are passionate about the environment and leading with scienceA degree in Ecology, Environmental Science, or a related disciplineEnthusiasm for ecology, with any prior experience in flora and fauna surveys highly regardedStrong communication skills - including scientific writing and the ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and clientsA can-do attitude, initiative, and good time management skills to manage competing prioritiesAn awareness of relevant NSW and Commonwealth environmental legislationBaseline fitness and agility to participate in fieldwork across varied climates and terrainsA current manual drivers licence with a safe driving recordSound working knowledge of Microsoft OfficeAustralian residency or citizenship.About the locationOur Wollongong office is ideally located to take advantage of both city and coastal living.
