**It's all aboutthe Company**

Fix yourself up with a fantastic opportunity This local firm is a thriving proudly Australian owned and operated, advanced design, engineering and manufacturing business with a successful 60 year history.

They are the parent company to multiple other successful subsidiary business throughout Australia, servicing industries including Defence (Navy, Resources (Oil, Gas and Mining) Industrial, Construction and multiple other sectors across all of Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumental, Piping and Automation.

As this portfolio grows, so does their need for people who can be flexible and adaptable within the business and the team to work on multiple varying projects. This is an opportunity like no other, it will see you exposed to a multitude of different products and machinery outside of the ordinary, with a learning capacity that is almost never ending within technology, new systems, and state of the art machinery.

**It's all aboutthe Job**

Driven by major ventures on behalf of Naval Defence and Commercial Shipping Fleets, they require a Workshop Technician who has a strong technical aptitude across mechanics or plumbing or electrical systems and/or someone who is just technically minded and enjoys taking apart and fixing. Being out in the field or based in the workshop in Warriewood, you will be across shipboard maintenance, repair and overhaul of valves, vacuum toilets, sewage treatments plants. RO plants, pipework, and other marine equipment as well as commissioning and servicing of systems. Conducting technical investigations, diagnostics across new and existing equipment installations, completion of technical documents, managing workflow overhauls and servicing projects, researching and coordinating with suppliers across parts and specifications for supply and factoring in lead times will all form part of the day to day activities. As they are a growing business, they need to do whatever tasked are on hand.

It will require you to be organised, efficient and process driven with an ability to work autonomously to achieve results. Strong communication skills both written and verbal may come naturally or from your previous technical and/or tradesman experience, your attention to detail is understandably paramount as you ensure all processes and procedures are worked through methodically and quality controls are kept to a very high standard.

**It's all aboutyou**

Your ability to provide quality outcomes in a busy, fast paced environment will be tested as will your flexibility and patience to navigate your way through slow lead times to get projects started and finished. Your willingness to run with your own operation and be self-sufficient, but you'll have an existing team to support you when times get interesting. Never a dull moment, you'll stay motivated and engaged in the varying workloads, both on and off site working, with a high volume of administration to keep you on your toes.

Ideally, but not essential, you will have a trade background, or maybe never quite finished your plumbing/electrical apprenticeship but will have a keen interest on how mechanics work. Either way, if you have a strong work ethic and organisational skills, you'll go far here and enjoy watching the fruits of your labour sailing safely into the sunset
