At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and so much more.We are currently recruiting forOSHC Educators on a casual basis to join our YMCA The Gap Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.About the serviceYMCA The Gap Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) is located at The Gap State High School licensed for 135 children and offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm.Our service offers a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real world experiences and home settings.
This helps encourage a sense of community amongst the children, facilitates leadership skill development and allows your child to practice social skills in a supported and caring environment.Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children's agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood.
We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.About the roleAs an OSHC Educator you are responsible for the care of children before school, after school and during school holiday periods.
You'll assist in running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting and musical activities.What will my time look like?

You are currently studying or completed a Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor degree in the field of children's services or similarYou have a fantastic sense of fun and a tremendous imaginationYou hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certificationYou hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain oneWhat's in it for you?
