As our highly valued Deputy Chief Exectuive Officer (DCEO), you will contribute to ensuring a bright future for Queensland, Australia and our global partners.
You will do this with people who want you to grow and progress.Working in full alignment with the CEO, the DCEO plays a central role in delivering the Queensland Government's trade and investment priorities and shaping the systems that enable global impact.The DCEO leads TIQ's corporate and operational functions — overseeing Finance, ICT, HR, Legal, Governance, Risk, Procurement, Strategy, and Performance.
They manage the General Managers and Executive Directors across TIQ's domestic and international footprint and ensure the agency meets its statutory obligations, strategic objectives, and budget commitments.Based In Brisbane, Here's What Your Role Will InvolvePeople ManagementPartner with the CEO to lead the delivery of the Queensland Government's Trade and Investment priorities and strategic direction.Ensure Queensland is well positioned to benefit from free trade agreements, emerging markets and global megatrends affecting supply chains.Lead TIQ's corporate performance, budgeting, internal controls, compliance and reporting functions, providing regular advice to the Board and AFRMC.Programs and Project ManagementLead the delivery of TIQ's key initiatives and projects to drive trade, investment and global engagement across priority sectors and regions.Work in collaboration with Corporate Services teams and ELT to ensure the organisation has the systems, processes and workforce capability to implement strategy and adapt to change.Oversee the delivery of internal transformation, digital uplift and operational reforms that support TIQ's global mandate.Policy and Economic DevelopmentProvide quality policy advice on trade, investment, and global business issues to the CEO, Ministers, the Premier and senior government officials.Demonstrate deep understanding of Queensland's and Australia's economic landscape, and how international relationships and investment attraction are critical to long-term prosperity.Help shape whole-of-government strategies and implementation plans related to trade and economic development.Stakeholder RelationshipsBuild strong and trusted relationships across government and industry to ensure strategic alignment and maximise outcomes.Lead partnerships with other Queensland departments, the Commonwealth, and international counterparts to advance investment attraction and trade growth.Represent TIQ in intergovernmental forums, international delegations and ministerial briefings as required.You'll Also Enjoy a Range Of Benefits, Such AsFlexible working arrangements.Benefits that put you at the centre, such as our wellbeing programs.Social clubs and corporate events that connect you with work colleagues.Shape your future through professional development opportunities.Engaging office environment centrally located in Brisbane CBD, close to shopping, eating precincts and public transport (Brisbane based).
