The Neurology unit is central to the hospital's vision of becoming a regional centre of excellence in neurological medicine.The RoleAs a Consultant Neurologist, you will join a dynamic and supportive medical division, contributing to inpatient and outpatient neurology care while also playing a pivotal role in expanding the department.Provide specialist input for acute and complex neurological presentations.Run outpatient clinics and provide consults to inpatient teams.Contribute to diagnostic and neurophysiology services including EEG, nerve conduction studies, and (future) EMG.Participate in stroke and neurology pathway development, including the upcoming Victorian Stroke Telemedicine (VST) clinic.Mentor and teach junior doctors and contribute to service quality initiatives.Eligibility Requirements:You must be eligible for specialist registration with AHPRA and hold:Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in OREquivalent overseas specialist qualifications (e.g. CCT (UK), CSCST (Ireland), ABIM Board Certification (USA), RCPSC (Canada), or Vocational Registration in NZ)Passion for service development and clinical leadership.Teaching, clinical governance, and research participation are highly valued.The LocationBendigo is a vibrant and welcoming regional city offering the perfect balance of career and lifestyle:Just 90 minutes from Melbourne by train or car.Affordable housing, great schools, and a thriving local food, arts, and wine scene.Easy access to nature, hiking, lakes, and weekend adventures.Short commutes and a connected medical community.You will be living in a city that's small enough to feel like home but large enough to support your professional growth.What Head Medical can do for youArranging a position overseas is very exciting, but we understand that it can also be daunting and time consuming.
