Apprenticeships Are Us is looking for a **2nd, 3rd & 4th Year Light Vehicle Mechanic apprentices** looking to continue their apprenticeship in a workshop in the **Brookvale, NSW **area.

**What is an automotive apprenticeship?** An automotive apprenticeship is a structured training program that allows individuals to gain practical experience and knowledge in the automotive industry. It combines on-the-job training with classroom-based learning to ensure that apprentices receive a well-rounded education and a comprehensive understanding of the trade.

**What is a Light Vehicle Mechanic?**

Automotive Light Vehicle Mechanics service, repair and overhaul the mechanical parts of motor vehicles such as the engine, the transmission (clutch, gear box and differential), and the suspension systems (springs, steering, brakes, wheels, and tyres). As part of your Light vehicle mechanic apprentice, you will learn to:

- Replace broken or defective vehicle parts.
- Test and replace starter motors and defective alternators.
- Replace and repair electrical wiring.
- Diagnose defective electrical parts.
- Remove and replace electronic components.
- Communicate with customers to explain problems/issues.
- Use special test equipment to diagnose and repair vehicles.
- Tune engines using special electronic equipment and make fine adjustments for smoother running.
- Carry out minor trim repairs.
- Diagnose, repair and replace engine management and fuel injection components.

Pay: $16.30 - $24.98 per hour
