Are you passionate about conservation and creating incredible guest experiences? At SEA LIFE Melbourne Aquarium we are dedicated to providing an exciting, immersive and educational experience for visitors, whilst promoting conservation and stewardship of aquatic ecosystems.
We have an amazing opportunity for you to join our team as an Aquarist/Keeper

**About the Role**

In this role you will assist with the care, wellbeing and general husbandry of our extensive collection - including fish, elasmobranchs, reptiles, amphibians, invertebrates and penguins. Key duties will include ensuring a high level of animal health and welfare, feeding, cleaning, record keeping, monitoring and maintenance of life support systems. This position also has diving responsibilities when required.

Qualifications & Experience:
Holding a degree in Marine Biology, Zoology or similar, you will also have experience in animal husbandry, preferably aquatic species. Experience working with Life Support Systems is essential.

Diving qualifications are desirable, with ADAS Aquarium Diver certification considered highly beneficial. If no diving qualifications are currently held, you must be willing to obtain the necessary qualifications to participate in essential diving duties.

You will be an exceptional communicator and are able to use your work experience to work well in a successful, fast paced team.

You will have a proactive and solution-oriented mindset, with the ability to adapt to changing situations and solve problems efficiently.

Your ability to multi-task and have a flexible and adaptable approach along with high attention to detail, the ability to meet deadlines and have demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills are desired.
