The Volunteer Driver supports and assists all programs within Melbourne Project 614 by providing efficient, safe, reliable and courteous collection and delivery of all goods.

The Salvation Army Melbourne Project 614 welcomes the opportunity to work with volunteers. Volunteer positions require: great customer service engagement, teamwork skills and ability to follow instructions from qualified, experienced staff.
- Hours_: Flexible & as required between the times of Monday to Friday from 9am - 5pm.
- Key Tasks:_

Transportation Service of Goods:

- Pick-ups and drop offs are performed in a timely and efficient manner.
- Donations are transported safely, adhering to all road laws and regulations.
- Assist in the loading and unloading of donations to and from the vehicle in a safe manner adhering to correct lifting techniques.
- After each shift, ensure vehicle is refuelled and left clean and tidy and the logbook is correctly filled in.

Representing TSA
- Maintain regular communication with Line Manager and team members to discuss your visits and any concerns that may arise.
- Always promote TSA in a positive manner.
- Wear a supplied Identification Uniform/ Badge when undertaking TSA duties.

Continuous quality improvement
- Commitment to continuous quality improvement and best practice initiatives.
- Offering realistic and constructive feedback regarding the management of donated goods.

- Mandatory Requirements:_
- Fully complete The Salvation Army, Melbourne Project 614 volunteer registration process including a national police record check
- Maintain a current driver's license.
- A reasonable level of fitness to meet the inherent requirements of the role.
- Must wear appropriate attire to shifts: neat casual clothing with a supplied Identification Uniform/Badge and closed footwear must be worn at all times.
- Participation in all required induction processes, including the following on-line training.
