We have an exciting opportunity available for a Lawyer to support the firm's transformation stream, Operational Excellence and the transition to a new case management system.
In this role you will be responsible for reviewing and amending the firm's existing legal precedents and drafting new legal precedents, as well as standardising and migrating precedents into the new platform.
This includes applying the firm's style guide, ensuring content accuracy and legal compliance, and working closely with stakeholders to build a consistent, high-quality, and future-ready precedent library.This is an 18-month, full time opportunity.
This role could be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.
Flexible work arrangements will be considered.
Your responsibilities will include:Draft and maintain legal precedents, templates, and clause banks across a range of practice areas and jurisdictions.Apply the firm's style guide and document standards to ensure consistency in format, language, structure, and tone.Lead and coordinate a precedent update program, including audit, review, redesign, and stakeholder consultation phases.Manage the migration of precedents into the firm's new case management system, including structuring, metadata tagging, and quality checks.Collaborate with legal teams to identify document needs, fill content gaps, and validate updated versions.Track legislative, regulatory, and procedural changes and ensure timely updates to affected precedents.Work with legal tech and knowledge management teams to optimise precedents for automation platforms Provide guidance and training to staff on accessing and using the updated precedent library.Maintain version control, document integrity, and record-keeping protocols.What will you bring?
To be successful in this role you will bring the following:Tertiary and Post Graduate qualifications in LawCurrent Practicing CertificateStrong knowledge of legal processes and legal document draftingExcellent computer literacy and understanding of importance of technology in practiceStrong internal stakeholder relationship managementOutstanding communication skills, both verbal and writtenAttention to detail and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of accuracy.
