Yulong Stud is seeking reliable and skilled horse persons, to join our team as Night Security and Horse Allrounder, to oversee our properties in Nagambie, Victoria.

The successful applicants should have demonstrated horse handling experience and be confident in feeding and administering oral treatments to horses of all ages and genders. The successful applicants will also be capable and willing to help in the breeding barn and with foaling mares during the busy breeding season.
- Your duties and responsibilities would include but not be limited to:

- Patrol Yulong properties and ensure farm security,
- Check horses are secured in their paddocks/stables,
- Feed stabled horses (Including yearlings and broodmares),
- Administer oral medications and monitor vital signs,
- Identify abnormal behaviours, injuries or illness.
- To be successful you will possess the following skills and attributes:

- Ability and confidence to handle and treat all horses on your own (essential),
- Ability to assist in emergency situations (such as difficult foaling's)
- Reliable and positive attitude,
- Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with management and the veterinary team,
- Ability to work independently,
- Ability to assist in the breeding barn,
- Ability to assist the night watch team with foaling mares,
- Keen observation skills.

This is a permanent fulltime position working a rotating roster 6pm to 6am, 4 days on for 3 days off.
