About the role
**Key responsibilities include**:
Developing and delivering strategic objectives, operational improvements, and value accretion opportunities.
Providing technical support, setting standards, and ensuring governance in metallurgical practices.
Monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive group-level improvement processes.
Auditing metallurgical processes, including accounting, reconciliation, and variance analysis.
Supporting budget development and offering input on metallurgical requirements for new projects.
Mentoring metallurgy teams and leading the Metallurgy Community of Practice.
Collaborating across teams to foster innovation and provide technical input on growth activities, such as M&A opportunities.
Ensuring health, safety, and security standards are upheld.
About you
To succeed in this position, you will drive innovation within Evolution and identify operation Mining Engineering opportunities through a continuous improvement framework.
**You will also require**:
Hold a tertiary qualification in Mineral Processing, Metallurgy, or related fields, with postgraduate qualifications preferred.
Have 15+ years of relevant industry experience, including roles in gold or base metals, group-level positions, and consulting.
Demonstrate expertise in scoping/pre-feasibility studies, due diligence, and data management.
Possess strong analytical, communication, and team management skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders.
Be experienced in managing budgets, prioritizing tasks, and delivering under strict timelines.
Show a commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
