The role:
Reporting to a collaborative Head of Safety, you will effectively navigate the organisation's psychosocial landscape, addressing the unique challenges its people face. Collaborate in implementing a new Safety Management System (SMS), actively participating in consultations and meetings to ensure effective communication and understanding across the organisation. Proactively conduct investigations with a hands-on approach, walking onto sites, building relationships, and ensuring high trust while addressing safety concerns. Demonstrate a critical understanding of risk management, articulating potential risks and proactively mitigating them, with an ability to explain risks clearly and understandably.

A bit about you:
Experience in aged care, disability, or allied health is highly sought-after, especially those with previous involvement in serious accident investigations, a solid understanding of vicarious trauma, excellent interpersonal skills, a proven ability to build high levels of trust, navigate relationships with senior leaders, maintain a cooperative and approachable demeanour, and demonstrate a practical and empathetic approach to complex situations, coupled with the ability to communicate findings comprehensibly, avoiding safety jargon.
