Ruah Community Services has been supporting and empowering vulnerable and disadvantaged people to create positive change in their lives for more than 60 years - leading innovation and delivering tailored, wrap-around support for people experiencing homelessness, family and domestic violence, mental health issues and, as a result, needing legal advice and support.

We're looking for a passionate and dedicated Female Support Worker to join our Family Services team at Kambarang Place (Women's Refuge)

**What we are looking for?**
- Completion of or progress towards a relevant qualification (Certificate II/III), and/or relevant work experience, and/or lived experience.
- Ability to engage with individuals within different levels of needs and build and maintain a professional relationship.
- Ability to work independently and contribute to the functioning of the team.
- Ability to model positive behaviours, emotional maturity, coping skills and resilience.
- Good interpersonal and effective communication skills.
- Understanding of basic computer skills including Microsoft Office and client reporting system.
- Willingness and ability to work within and contribute to the vision, mission, core values and the guiding principles of the organisation.
- Knowledge and understanding of diversity, gender and social inclusion, particularly Aboriginal culture.
- Desired: Knowledge/ experience of working with women escaping domestic violence will be highly regarded._

**Required Compliance Documents**
- Current drivers' license
- Working with Children Check
- National Police Certificate (dated within 6-months)
- First aid Certificate
