Broadcast Technician - Operations Service Integrity East 1 Cowpasture Pl, Wetherill Park NSW 2164, AustraliaPosted Sunday 24 August 2025 at 2:00 pm Expires Sunday 21 September 2025 at 1:59 pmABOUT THE ROLE Maintain a variety of transmission systems and associated infrastructure to meet customer requirements.Key responsibilities will include:Responds effectively to on-the -job training with various team members in service restoration, corrective and preventative maintenance of our client's transmission systems and infrastructure.With on-the -job training, will be on-call when skills and experience have developedFully aware of work health and safety processes and EMR awarenessParticipates in the installation, maintenance, and repair of broadcast and communication equipmentProof of Performance Testing - with on-the- job training and supervision is capable of completing performance tests on all equipment to prove contract complianceParticipates in district activities including site facility management as directedImplements appropriate service restoration actions and escalates technical issues to field callout technicianProvide written and verbal reports to the Network Operations Centre and carry out office and site housekeeping and field support activities as requiredAccurately completes all reporting associated with their work including the completion of Work Orders and fault ticketsUndertakes all activities in line with the BAI Communications Health and Safety Policy.
Reports all near misses, incidents according to the procedures, promptly and clearly with all the required detail.Adopt a working style in line with the BAI Communications BusinessABOUT YOUElectronics Technician with RF experience and a background in maintenance of transmission equipment is preferred.
However, the incumbent may be a qualified technician who may not have experience on broadcast or communications equipmentCurrent Drivers LicenceHas sound interpersonal skills including the ability to liaise with others and a proven ability to work as part of a teamDemonstrates an ability to learn in a rapidly changing technological environmentFlexible working hours and after-hours shiftsWillingness to travel away fromhomeevery other monthThis role will be subject to pre-employment and routine medical assessment (with a suitable medical practitioner) to confirm fitness for duty.Working on the Public Safety Network sites predominantly, you will be required to complete an annual criminal history check.To obtain a full job description, please contact Desiree Furber, Talent Acquisition Manager or have a conversation withSteve Jones.Want to learn more?
