**Role Description/Criteria**

St Damian's is looking for a teacher or language assistant to lead and support the Italian language program within the school. Ideally we are seeking someone who is fluent or a native speaker of Italian who is able to work with our staff and students to embed the use of Italian. The successful applicant does not need to be a qualified teacher as the role calls for someone to work with the teachers and the students to increase the use of Italian. Our Languages program is delivered daily by teachers to encourage students to learn the language through using it each day. Graduates or Educational Support Officers with good Italian language skills are also encouraged to apply. The position is for two days (0.4) per week, this can be negotiated in terms of how the work is carried out over the week.

- learn how to use student data to assess language attainment of students
- demonstrate a willingness to nurture the faith of all in our community, actively supporting our Catholic school vision
