General Service Assistant - Café Team Leader

About the role
The Café Team Leader prepares and serves beverages such as coffee and tea, along with light food items including sandwiches, muffins, and cookies. They are responsible for packaging coffee blends, brewing drinks to standard, and providing clear explanations of menu offerings to customers. This role includes maintaining a clean and welcoming environment, ensuring customer satisfaction, and promoting a comfortable café experience.
**Your main duties will include**:
Welcoming customers, informing them about specials or new items, answering questions, and accepting orders and payments.
Preparing foods, such as sandwiches or baked goods, and grinding and blending coffee beans, brewing coffee and tea, and serving items to customers.
Packaging food and beverages for sale.
Selling coffee and tea blends and brewing equipment, highlighting the differences between items, and educating customers about brewing methods.
About you
At least one year of customer service and barista experience or at least one year of cooking experience in a cafe, restaurant, etc
Be able to weekdays Monday - Friday
Legal right to work in Australia
Excellent customer Service and communication skills
