**About BaptistCare Carey Gardens**

Located in the peaceful suburb of Red Hill, Carey Gardens is home to a friendly community who enjoy their independence. Featuring 65 individual rooms including a number of adjoining rooms, so residents can enjoy life side by side with their partner. Loved for its landscaped courtyards, tranquil fishpond, lounge, and communal areas.

**About the role**
As the Lifestyle/Recreational Activities Officer, you will drive the engagement and participation of residents into a range of social, recreational and cultural activities, as well as mental health and wellbeing programs that empower our resident's choices and independence.

In planning and organising all recreational activity programs, you will ensure individual residents' needs, values, spiritual and cultural preferences are taken into account.

**This is a permanent part-time position. Shifts on offer are 4 days a week, 9am - 16:30 or 10:15 - 17:45.**

**Skills and experience**
- You have completed Certificate IV in Leisure and Lifestyle (or willing to complete)
- Experience working with people with Dementia (highly desirable)
- You hold a current NSW/ACT Drivers License and will be able to take clients on outings
- Senior First Aid Certificate is essential
- Willingness to obtain a NDIS Worker Screening Check or provide current NDIS Worker screening clearance
- You have previous experience in caring for the elderly within an Aged or Community Care setting
- You have highly developed organisation and time management skills
- You have an understanding of Resident Rights, Aged Care Accreditation Standards and Outcomes
