This is a Full-time position and the successful applicant would receive on-the-job training in addition to completing a Trade Certificate III in Cabinet Making & Timber Technology (Furniture) at TAFE.

Role Description

An Apprenticeship Opportunity is currently available in our Timber Joinery Workshop. This is a Full-time position and the successful applicant would receive on-the-job training in addition to completing a Trade Certificate III in Cabinet Making & Timber Technology (Furniture) at TAFE.

The position would include a wide range of tasks to include:

- learn how to operate and program CNC 3-axis router
- learn how to interpret Architectural & Workshop Drawings
- calculate material and cutting lists
- use Hand Tools
- making measurements and calculate
- assemble furniture components
- learn how to construct Jigs and Fixtures
- learn how to operate wood machinery

**Required Skills**:
We are looking with applicants that are interested to pursue a career in this Trade area and that have:

- basic math skills
- have a keen interest in furniture making and timber machining
- hold strong communication skills and like hands on work
- be self-motivated and reliable
- have a positive attitude with the ability to work in a fast-paced Team environment
- have a willingness to learn and build their career by obtaining their Trade Certificate
