We are seeking a highly motivated Mining Engineer to join our team at South Walker Creek Mine located near Coppabella.
This role will suit an engineer with a solid background in mine planning and production support who is looking to further develop their career in a dynamic and professional environment.
With a strong partnership in place with our client Stanmore, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a growing project that has recently secured a five-year contract extension.
This is a residential or FIFO role that will operate on an 8:6 roster.
Flights, meals and accommodation will be provided.
Key Role Requirements: Develop short-term mining designs for dig and dump operations, ensuring efficiency and safety in the excavation processes; Utilize your in-depth knowledge of Vulcan software to create accurate and effective mining designs; Present and communicate short-term designs with operations team; Assisting the operations team with seeing the designs become a reality; Mine presents a challenging and interesting geology that will keep you engaged and motivated to find innovative solutions; Collaborate with our team to identify and implement the most efficient mining methods for each area, consistently adding value for our client.
Key capability requirements: Degree in Mining Engineering or equivalent; Additional Commercial or Project Management experience and/or qualifications are desirable; Demonstrated ability to successfully and constructively interact with people at all levels, including internal, external stakeholders; Ability to foster and maintain a 'Zero Harm' behaviour and project culture; Analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills; Advanced MS Office skills are essential along with Vulcan experience; Additional skills in mine planning software is advantageous.
