CPC Engineering is a multi-disciplined engineering design, construction and project management company that has developed a reputation for delivering professional, practical and cost effective services to the resource industry.

You will be responsible for the development and implementation of project specific construction electrical standards and practices to ensure that projects are executed in a safe, cost effective and timely manner.

The incumbent will demonstrate a high quality of service delivery with a critical eye for detail and accuracy and a determined approach to execution of the tasks at hand.

You will be responsible for developing the construction methodology and once approved via the Construction Risk Assessment Workshop (CRAW) adopt a path of construction that delivers the Construction Methodology.

Education and Experience:
Trade qualified or Diploma qualification.
Current WA Unrestricted Electrician License
Understanding of Australian Standards
Desirable: Electrical Contractors Training Program (Nominee)
Extensive construction experience in resource and infrastructure development.

Skills and Abilities:
Ability to manage human resources to ensure team productivity is maintained.
Ability to resolve design and contractual conflicts and satisfactorily negotiate appropriate outcomes.
Ability to present and communicate across all disciplines. Financial acumen.
Demonstrated skill in the management of relevant authorities, contractors and sub-contractors.
Quoting on workshop, site work and major project electrical enquiries
Organising and planning work schedules.
Competent computer skills in Microsoft Suite and/or other Project-based software.
Ability to plan and see the "big picture"
Competent in conflict and crisis management
Developed leadership and human resources management skills
Excellent time and project management skills
WA driving licence.
Pre-employment drug and alcohol screening.
Background screening includes previous employment, education, criminal history, and
driving record verification.
Proven working experience in construction management
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means and methods
Expert knowledge of construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
Understanding of all facets of the construction/mining process

Core Duties and Responsibilities:

Technical/Systems Knowledge:
Understand the relationship between the Estimate (direct manhours) Project Schedule (manhours based activity durations) Methodology (path of construction and access to work face) to optimise Site Duration Costs (facilities plant and cranes) and to minimize Risks
Produce Basis of Estimate and Tender Technical and Commercial Qualifications
Understand estimated ratios and metrics and compare against established benchmarks. Assist with KPI reporting.
Validate estimate hours against schedule durations and resource loadings.
Compare actual cost data against estimate and make necessary adjustment to cost database
Computer skills on relevant systems, e.g. MYOSH
Perform estimate quality assurance and all necessary cost analysis
Human management skills
