Summary & Role Information
We are seeking an ISSO to help maintain our system security posture, and protect our customer's data from unauthorized use. This is a risk management role to assist in the protection of our systems, indentification of threats / vulnerabilities, and the mitigation and remediation of vulnerabilities to ensure secuirty compliancy.
The ISSO is responsible for ensuring the implemenation and maintenance of system security controls in accordance with the country's authorization framework, policies and security controls/parameters as documented in the system security plan and associated secruity documentation. This includes activities such as the development / update of securtiy documenation, as well as facilitiion, coordination and security input during security assessments. The ISSO will work closely with the operations team on identification and remediation of vulnerabilities; providing recommendations and/or identify system changes required. Additionally, the ISSO will work hand-in-hand with security engineers on vulnerability management activities (i.e., scan analysis, inventory), as well as security tooling implementation.
Experinece (Role Requirements)
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, mathematics or cybersecruity preferred
- Experience in cybersecurity (7 - 10 years)
- Knowledge and experience of security frameworks and controls
- Experience in development of security documention
- Security certifications such as CISSP, CISM preferred
- Strong oral and written, and interpersonal skills
- Strong analytical skills
- System technical skills and understanding preferred
What you Bring
Must be an Australian Citizen as the position will be required to successfully achieve and maintain a security clearance, as issued by the Australian Government Security and Vetting Agency (AGSVA) to at least an NV1 (Negative Vetting 1) / Secret level.
