As an Allied Health Assistant, it is expected that your time will consist of both clinical and administrative duties.You will be involved in a new innovative way of offering allied health services to our wonderful Clients.
Our award winning 2023 Allied Health Award for Innovative Product Excellence Plena Care Pathway has been designed to provide our therapists with an opportunity to tailor therapy programs for our residents, built from resident goals and priorities, and delivers evidence-based mobility and functional programs, care plan reviews, one-to-one therapy interventions and group based active aging services.
Responsibilities You will be responsible for:Responsible for assisting to deliver all physiotherapy services in accordance with the Plena Healthcare operating procedures and policies.Responsible for servicing RAC clients in accordance with the Allied Health Professionals treatment planUnder direction of the physiotherapists / occupational therapists you may be required to, Transport residents to and from the therapy gym area / their appointmentsSet up and pack away the physiotherapy gym, including cleaning both the area and equipmentCollect referrals and any other administrative tasks as guided by the physiotherapistsOrder prescribed equipmentRun exercise groups / programsSupport initiatives to meet client / contract expectationsConsult with the physiotherapist / occupational therapist in relation to adaptations/ changes/ progressions of treatment plans for clients as appropriateParticipate in mentoring, supervision and appraisals in line with Plena Healthcare's policy and procedure Your Career with Plena Plena Healthcare prides itself on a genuine work/life balance where flexibility is key
