We build thriving communities where people belong and flourish.About the RoleWe're looking for an experienced and committed Senior Disability Support Worker to join our team full-time in Swansea, Newcastle.
This Vertical Village supports participants with high physical and complex clinical needs.You'll provide hands-on support while guiding a team of support workers across shifts.
Your leadership will ensure safe, consistent, and person-centred care every day.
A nursing qualification is highly desirable for this site due to the level of clinical complexity.What You'll DoProvide daily living support: personal care, manual handling, medication, PEG feeding, and mobilityManage high-risk clinical care needs: seizure management, bowel care, midazolam, hoisting, wound careSupport participants using trauma-informed and positive behaviour practicesWork closely with allied health, behaviour support practitioners, and familiesLead by example and coach support workers on shiftEnsure compliance with NDIS standards, care plans, and restrictive practice requirementsHelp onboard new team members and foster a strong team cultureKeep accurate shift notes, incident reports, and clinical documentationAbout YouMinimum Diploma in Disability, Community Services, or Mental Health (Nursing degree highly desirable)3+ years' experience in complex care, including high physical and clinical supportsConfident managing hoists, bowel care, PEG feeding, and emergency responseExperience working with people who have mental health conditions, trauma backgrounds, or justice involvementCalm, proactive, and able to make sound decisions under pressureStrong understanding of safeguarding, professional boundaries, and person-centred careAvailable for 24/7 rotating roster including overnights and weekendsNDIS Worker Screening Check, First Aid Certificate, and valid Driver Licence requiredWhy Join Us?
