Consultant General/Nuclear Physician

The Consultant Nuclear Medicine Physician will help us provide the highest quality of care possible.
The ideal candidate will be board certified in nuclear medicine and have experience working with a variety of patients.
The Consultant will be responsible for performing nuclear medicine procedures, interpreting images, and providing consultation to referring physicians.
The nuclear medicine physician will also be responsible for maintaining a high level of patient satisfaction by providing compassionate care.
In addition, the physician will be responsible for inpatient management of patients under the General Medicine team as well as participating in the on-call physician roster.
The job will be split between general medicine and nuclear medicine responsibilities.
Our client is the designated specialist referral centre for the Gippsland region, delivering a comprehensive range of medical services to the community.
Located only 2 hours' drive from Melbourne CBD, the position offers an attractive arrangement with various options within the package.
Salary will be in accordance with the EBA and includes benefits available only in a public hospital.
Candidates must be willing to participate in the on-call roster, undertaking on-call periods as agreed.
Eligibility for Fellowship with the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and registration with the Medical Board of Australia are required.
Hospital:This is a specialist referral and trauma centre, a purpose-built teaching hospital serving a population of over 250,000.
The hospital offers elective surgery, emergency care, aged care, obstetrics, mental health, pharmacy, rehabilitation, and medical and radiation oncology.
It has four operating theatres and specializes in general surgery, orthopaedics, gynaecology and obstetrics, ear, nose and throat surgery, and urology.
As a teaching hospital, it is affiliated with Monash University's School of Rural Health and Federation University, providing placements and clinical experience for students.
