What You Will Be Doing
As a Pathology Collector (Phlebotomist), you will collect blood and coordinate specimen samples from patients, delivering great customer service and quality healthcare.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Collecting samples (blood and non-blood) with care and attention
Keeping meticulous records for every patient and sample
Delivering documentation within strict turnaround times
Preparing and packaging specimens for transport and testing
Liaising with customers, clinic staff and couriers
What Type of Person Will Be Successful
To be successful, you will be an experienced Pathology Collector, or you will have gained a Certificate III in Pathology Collection.
You could also be a Registered Nurse seeking regular daytime shifts over weekend/overnight work.
If you have no pathology experience but a customer service focus and healthcare background, we can support you with fully paid training and mentoring.
Qualifications and Attributes
Demonstrated experience in Phlebotomy/Certificate III in Pathology Collection or a healthcare background
Excellent customer service and communication skills with empathy
Organised with strong time management and attention to detail
Ability to work autonomously, including in solo clinic settings
Valid Driver's license and flexibility to travel to multiple clinics
Working with Children's Check or willingness to obtain one
Australian citizenship, permanent residency, New Zealand citizenship, or valid visa with work rights
Vaccine-preventable disease evidence such as Hepatitis B is required; other vaccinations may be required depending on location
