About the School:
Clifton State High School is proud of its community, and the community takes pride in the school. The leadership team sets high educational standards and this is reflected in staff and student success. Located between Toowoomba and Warwick, this small, rural co-educational secondary school serves the the surrounding communities and cherish the strong connection between within the Clifton Cluster.
With approx. 300 students from Years 7 to 12, Clifton State High School welcomes and focuses on every child as an individual. We encourage and support all students to reach their potential, as per the state schooling strategy 'Equity and Excellence', and encourage them to strive for success. Despite being a smaller school in a rural setting, we offer a diverse range of opportunities and pathways for students. The strategic plan will focus on the priorities areas of: LEADING, LEARNING AND THE LEARNER.
Clifton State HIgh School is small enough to offer a caring and individualized learning environment, while being large enough, to provide every student with the opportunities to "Achieve in Every Field."
About the Role:
Assist the Principal to lead the school community to develop, articulate and commit to a shared educational vision focussed on providing quality learning outcomes for all students.
Deputise for the Principal when required.
Work collaboratively within the Senior Leadership Team
Uphold the deputy principalship as a values based, ethical and moral activity.
Embed socially just practices in daily school life.
Set high standards for student and staff performance.
Actively participate in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
About You
Must have experience in leading staff in the areas of:
Australian Curriculum
Inclusion and supporting students with disabilities
Junior Secondary
Nice to have:
Instructional leadership
Time management
Organisational skills
Emotional intelligence
Growth mindset
