**Disability Support Worker - TAPPING | Perth, WA**

Seeking a support worker for a permanent casual, long-term position.

To be caring for a 35-year-old young man who has a physical disability called Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy.

You need to be a very positive, highly committed, and motivated person, who enjoys taking the client out socially and who fits into the client's home and his life. you'll be supporting him 1 to 1 in his own self-contained unit.

**We have supports up to 32 hours per week**:

- 1 weekday support from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm and 1 weekend from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm involving all personal care, social outings, cooking meals, and cleaning as required.
- 1 weeknight overnight sleepover from 5:00 pm to 8:30 am involving personal care, cooking meals, and feeding.

You'll need to be keen to fill in if required and be available to go away on trips with the client at different times throughout the year.

Rates of pay are above award rates (will discuss at the first meeting) and are paid weekly.

The requirements are:

- 2 recent referees
- Drivers licence
- Fluent in English
- Certificate 3 or 4 in individual support
- Manual handling certificate with hoisting experience
- Up-to-date police clearance
- NDIS worker screening check
- First aid and CPR certificate
- Completed NDIS worker orientation module 'Quality, Safety and You'
