We currently have an opportunity for an enthusiastic **Kitchen & Laundry Hand **to join us on a Casual basis at our Plumpton Villa home in Glenroy

**About your role**:
As a Kitchen (FSA) & Laundry Hand using your previous hospitality experience, you will be responsible for assisting with food preparation, presentation, serving and clean-up of meals to our residents. You will bring a strong commitment to customer service, food safety, and an understanding of special dietary requirements that will have a positive impact on the wellbeing of our residents.

You will therefore hold strong communication skills combined with the ability to build positive and warm working relationships with residents and colleagues.We commit to our residents and our employees, and encourage our staff to commit to working safely within their teams.

**What You'll Do**:

- Assist with monitoring and recording requirements of the Food Safety Program
- Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and staff
- Preparation and cleaning in accordance with the Food Safety Program
- Ensure all Kitchen cleaning tasks meet CraigCare standards
- Preparation and cleaning in accordance with defined cleaning standards
- Understanding residents special dietary requirements
- Contribute to a clean and safe working environment to ensure the safety of our residents, visitors and staff
- Cleaning and sorting of residents' clothing
- Understand and execute infection control initiatives
- Ensure all cleaning tasks meet CraigCare Standards

**What You'll Bring**:

- Organised, can-do attitude to what can be a physically demanding team environment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience as a Cook is **highly desirable**:

- Flexibility to work across **any day** of the week
- Flexibility to work shifts of up to 8 hours
- Previous experience in Hotel Services (Kitchen) within an Aged Care Environment would be highly beneficial
- Sound knowledge of Food Safety
- Sound knowledge of Cleaning Protocols

**Essential Requirements**:

- Current NDIS check clearance (or willing to obtain)
- Proof of Work rights in Australia
- Proof of COVID Vaccination certificate (2 doses + booster dose)
- Proof of Flu vaccination (current year)
