**Position Title**: Permanent Part-Time Restaurant Team Leader
**Location**: Carlos Cantina, Blackburn
- Flexibility to work at Boronia (dinner shifts) as needed. and Croydon (dinner shifts) as needed._

Position Overview:
Carlos Cantina is seeking a proactive and motivating Team Leader to join our dynamic team on a permanent part-time basis. As a leader in our restaurant, you will guide and support the team, fostering a positive and productive work environment while ensuring high service standards. Your role will also involve ensuring compliance with staff availability and leave processes. By leading by example, you will drive team success and enhance the customer experience.

Key Responsibilities:

- **Team Leadership and Compliance**:

- Inspire your team to deliver high-quality service while ensuring smooth and efficient restaurant operations.
- Ensure compliance with Carlos Cantina's business standards for leave and availability.
- Maintain open communication with the General Manager regarding team schedules.
- **Stock Ordering & Inventory Management**:

- Oversee inventory levels to meet customer demand without excess waste.
- Monitor stock usage, train staff on inventory control best practices, and maintain supplier relationships.
- **Maintain a Clean and Organised Environment**:

- Lead by example in cleanliness and organisation, ensuring food safety and hygiene standards are upheld.
- Emphasise the importance of cleanliness for staff and customers alike.
- **Achieving Sales and Wage Cost Goals**:

- Motivate the team to reach sales targets through exceptional customer service and upselling.
- Collaborate with the Operations Manager to manage wage costs and ensure financial efficiency.
- **Staff Training & Development**:

- Actively train and develop team members, equipping them with the skills needed for success.
- Provide regular feedback and mentorship, promoting a supportive growth environment.
- **Customer Experience Excellence**:

- Engage with customers on the floor to ensure memorable dining experiences.
- Address customer complaints promptly, exemplifying excellent service leadership.
- **Flexibility and Location Leadership**:

- Lead shifts at Blackburn (including lunch) and Boronia (dinner) as needed, adapting to various work environments.
- Support the Operations Manager in maintaining smooth operations across locations.
- **Event and Promotion Leadership**:

- Oversee special events and promotions, ensuring smooth operations and high service levels.
- Collaborate with marketing and operations teams for successful execution, enhancing customer engagement.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- **Experience**: Minimum of 2 years in a leadership or supervisory role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
- **Leadership**: Proven ability to motivate and lead a team, fostering a collaborative environment.
- **Customer-Centric Focus**: Strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service.
- **Organisational Skills**: Excellent organisational skills with a focus on operational efficiency.
- **Compliance**: Ability to enforce adherence to leave and availability policies.
- **Communication**: Outstanding communication skills with both team members and customers.
- **Flexibility**: Willingness to work across Croydon, Blackburn, and Boronia, including weekends, public holidays, and special events.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 35 per week
