Do you love early starts and are passionate about fresh produce? We have a great opportunity to join the Fresh buying team as a Buyer - Fresh Produce based at Brisbane Markets, Rocklea

As part of the buying team, you will be responsible for developing, negotiating and implementing state-based purchasing for defined categories and banner groups, delivering a program which realizes sales, profit and marketing income objectives.

A core part of the role will see you build strong relationships with retailers and suppliers, establishing a viable alternative to competitive offers and sustain loyalty to the retail offer.

**What you'll do**:
Achievement of budgets in line with strategic plan initiatives

Produce purchasing

Supplier and business partner management.

Ranging / inventory management

Identifying potential supply

Implementation of strategic business plans.

Meeting buyer direct versus market buying percentage

Promotional lock in

Programming of all produce lines with agreed supplier base

Achieve required sales margin as per budget

About You

Produce buying experience 3 years plus

Customer first mind-set

Excellent stakeholder & relationship management skills

Commercial acumen

Proven ability to implement procedures and execute strategies

Sound knowledge of growing and supply trends within the industry
