Exercise Physiologist

Our services start with a initial discussion with the patient on short-term and long-term goals, a full assessment and we then devise an tailored and individualised treatment plan or intervention including all necessary services to help reach those goals. Our Allied Health team includes: Dietitian's, Exercise Physiologists, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Chiropractors, Psychologists, Behaviour Therapists, and Support workers.

We are looking for a positive and passionate Exercise Physiologist who will add a positive attitude to our great team and network. We are looking for someone with the same values in helping our clients with a high standard of care and therapeutic services to contract for our partner clinic, with more long-term opportunities available. This is an opportunity for direct contractual placement within a large allied health centre and for private contractual work.

**The role and duties**
- Demonstrate competent knowledge, expertise and skill in the provision of exercise physiology services commensurate with level of experience in accordance with prescribed professional and ethical standards, existing evidence-based practice.
- Clinical exercise prescription, instruction and supervision, health education and exercise-based lifestyle.
- Participate in quality and service improvement activities to continually improve patient/client care, including the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within the work environment.
- Develop clinical practice knowledge and expertise through active learning within the exercise physiology Service and the multi-disciplinary team, as well as engaging in professional development activities to ensure maintenance of relevant registration and /or professional membership.
- Tailoring plans with research and evidence-based intervention within your scope of services.
- Recommendation of patients to other multi-disciplinary service providers such as Doctors, Specialists, Rehabilitation Providers, Physiotherapists, Psychologists, Podiatrists, Exercise Physiologists etc
- Completion of clinical notes at the end of each work day, and to provide prompt written reports/progress letters/treatment requests to the relevant parties involved.
- Mobile and Clinical Setting Based Role. Varied settings including at local centers, homes, local gyms, pools and workplaces.

Essential Skills and Experience
- Experience in completing and reviewing session plans and clinical reports
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- High standard of customer service, and team orientated
- Commitment to professional development and maintenance of current research and evidence based practice
- Understanding of quality improvement principles
- Understanding of Risk Management and Incident Reporting
- Experience working in a clinical, mobile or rehabilitation setting (desirable)

Other Essential requirements
- Tertiary qualifications in Exercise Physiology
- ESSA accreditation
- Current driver's license and access to vehicle
- Provider Registration with Medicare - must be willing to obtain.
- Current employee Working with Children Check
- Current NDIS Worker Check

**Job Type**: Subcontract

**Salary**: $50.00 - $60.00 per hour
