GenesisCare is seeking a Patient Billing Specialist to be a part of our Oncology Shared Services team. The Oncology Billing Specialist position is responsible for managing and maintaining the financial administrative tasks across multiple Oncology practices and working with the site-based Patient Services staff in the delivery of high-quality, patient centred services.

The key focus of the role is to actively manage and process financial tasks including the generation of invoices, payment plans, payments, and debt collection.

This role provides network support to the non-patient facing functions of the billing cycle, managing the process across the three Oncology services, Radiation, Medical Oncology & Theranostics.

What you'll do:

- Patient Revenue Cycle Management.
- Code Review.
- Bank reconciliation.
- Accounts receivable function.
- Financial Eligibility checks.

Who you are:

- Demonstrated understanding of and an ability to provide excellent customer service in a healthcare environment.
- Medical accounts processing skills including knowledge of Medicare, DVA and private health funds.
- Demonstrated ability in using clinical administration systems (Mosaiq/PBRC) and Microsoft Office software particularly Excel.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to build effective relationships with internal and external business stakeholders.
- Excellent time management and multi-tasking skills.
- Proven experience to work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a multi-disciplinary team environment.
