The role requires coordination and leadership of cross-functional teams ensuring that safety, quality, cost and schedule for Ship construction meets program goals and deliverablesKey responsibilities include:This role is accountable for supporting the Area Manager in delivering projects and engineering outputs, in accordance with the developed planThe Area Coordinator is required to organise activities and tasks for specific projects, ensuring production activities are executed safely and efficientlyCoordination and de-confliction of production activities in accordance with the Ship Plan of Day (SPOD)Facilitation of production issue resolution, to ensure that hold-ups to schedule are minimisedSupport with Control Account and Contract Master Schedule reporting obligations, including monitoring progress and maintaining the scheduleEstablish strong relationships and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to ensure best for program outcomesAbout YOUDemonstrated experience in an engineering, production and / or defence environmentProven background with managing various trade related groups and / or contractorsAbility to balance conflicting priorities to deliver against customer and business requirementsExperience with stakeholder managementUnderstanding of Earned Value ManagementAbility to adapt written and verbal communication skills to suit a variety of difference audiencesDefence security clearance or eligibility to obtainEligibility to be cleared for International Traffic In Arms (ITAR) regulationsWe believe in hiring for potential, we know that some candidates hesitate if they don't tick all the boxes.
