About The Role

As a Compliance Consultant you will report to the Compliance and Accreditation Manager to continuously measure, monitor and improve the safety and quality of all clinical services by assisting managers to respond to the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission (Commission) requests for information and Accreditation preparedness. You will collaborate with the team to drive compliance with performance monitoring and accreditation standards to deliver the Bupa Promise.

Duties
- Support our General Managers to manage all interactions with the Commission and other regulatory reporting bodies in relation to maintaining compliance and accreditation
- Review appropriate responses to Commission reports and escalating where appropriate, engaging key stakeholders in the compliance management process both internally and externally
- Support managers with reportable incidents responsibilities and associated documentation
- Support care homes with managing and responding to regulatory bodies
- Support practice through continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain data bases and prepares/assists in preparation of monthly reports and quality trending reports and benchmarking opportunities
- Ensure practices and processes are aligned with current legislation and regulatory compliance standards
- Contribute to strategic initiatives within the organisation

Skills and Experience
- Bachelor of Nursing with current AHPRA
- Demonstrated experience in clinical safety and assurance, or quality compliance roles
- Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong relationship management and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent time management skills and ability to juggle competing priorities at the one time
- Experience in data management and clinical analysis to drive improvements in outcomes and clinical care
- Substantial knowledge of aged care industry and regulatory requirements
- Sound knowledge of legislation of reportable incidents
- Coaching and leadership skills
- Problem solving skills

Bupa Villages and Aged Care is a NDIS approved provider. As part of the NDIS scheme, employees working within a NDIS facility, in a risk assessed role, must have a completed NDIS check. This is part of compliance and needs to be completed prior to commencement - successful applicants will have this cost reimbursed upon commencement.

IMPORTANT: All aged care workers must be vaccinated against seasonal influenza, and have the relevant COVID and Booster vaccinations in line with State legislation. Evidence of these vaccinations will be required prior to commencement.
