As the Senior Manager, Line 1 Risk - People & Culture (P&C) and Group Risk, you will be at the heart of our risk management activities within the first line of defence. You will support the Head of Line 1 Risk, Group Functions, and drive a proactive risk culture across our division.
You will play a crucial part in enhancing our ability to identify, assess, and mitigate risks, ensuring that our risk management frameworks and strategies are integrated into business operations. Your efforts will strengthen our control environment, improve our risk position, and ensure regulatory compliance.
You will promote innovative risk management solutions aligned with BOQ's strategic direction and growth objectives. This role involves close collaboration with leadership teams, heads of business units, Group Risk, Group Compliance, Internal Audit, and external regulatory bodies and auditors.
About You
We are looking for someone with a strong background in risk management, ideally across the P&C and/or Group Risk landscape in a leadership position, leading Risk Specialist teams.
You should have a proven track record of developing and implementing risk management frameworks within the financial services industry, with a focus on P&C and/or Group Risk. The ability to provide pragmatic risk advice, deliver risk insights, and support the business in reducing complexity and risk is essential. You should be adept at managing and advising on risk management strategies, frameworks, and standards, ensuring risks, obligations, and control designs are accurate and meet requirements.
This role will involve delivering risk governance activities, including the development of key risk indicators and Line 1 Risk reporting to the Finance Risk Committee – specifically for the P&C and Group Risk Divisions. Strong logical reasoning, attention to detail, exceptional communication, and the ability to lead and motivate a team are valued.
