We're hiring for one of the most strategic solution architecture gigs in the Australian payments landscape. Think card issuing, switching, acquiring, real-time payments and scheme certifications—at enterprise scale. If you've been in the trenches of ISO 8583, Connex, and digital channel design, this one's for you.
What you'll own
Designing the
target state architecture
for a tier-1 card & payments platform
Leading architecture across issuing, acquiring, switching & merchant services
Powering digital experiences across
eCommerce, real-time payments
and omnichannel journeys
Hands-on integration with
Visa, Mastercard, UnionPay
and gateways like
Cybersource & MPGS
Championing microservices, event-driven design, and cloud-native delivery (Azure/AWS)
Ensuring
certification-readiness
, scalability, and bulletproof security
Acting as the architecture SME across tech, business, and vendor teams
Your toolkit
10+ years in solution architecture (payments, banking, switching)
Fluency in
ISO 8583, ISO 20022, AS2805, SWIFT
Knowledge of tokenization, 3DS, EMV, and wallet ecosystems
Real-world experience across
Azure or AWS
, containerisation, MQ, and APIs
Strong communication chops and stakeholder finesse
