As a Lead Educator in Bright Little Stars Pty Ltd should involve caring for and supervising children across various early childhood programs and environments, including long day care centers and educational or hospital-based settings.

Responsibilities:

  1. Planning and implementing educational programs based on the Early Years Learning Framework, tailored to individual and group needs, in consultation with the Nominated Supervisor or Approved Provider.

  2. Preparing and organizing materials and equipment for children's educational and recreational activities to support developmental and learning outcomes.

  3. Designing and conducting daily activities that promote children's physical, social, emotional, and cognitive development, including reading, games, and creative play.

  4. Supervising children during recreational activities and daily routines, ensuring their safety, well-being, and hygiene at all times.

  5. Guiding children's behaviour and social development through positive reinforcement and age-appropriate strategies.

  6. Leading and mentoring other educators by providing guidance, supervision, and support in the implementation of daily programs and routines.

  7. Observing and recording children's progress for individualized program planning and to support their learning and development.

  8. Developing and evaluating daily care routines to ensure a structured, nurturing, and inclusive environment.

  9. Supporting the inclusion of children with additional needs, including those with disabilities, complex health requirements, and diverse cultural backgrounds.

  10. Maintaining a clean, safe, and hygienic environment in accordance with health, safety, and regulatory standards.

  11. Liaising with parents and carers regarding children's progress, daily activities, and developmental milestones through written and verbal communication.

  12. Assisting in the induction and training of new staff, students, and volunteers, and participating in staff recruitment processes as required.

  13. Contributing to administrative tasks such as roster planning, resource management, and maintaining records including risk assessments, emergency procedures, and compliance documentation.
