Job Purpose

DP World Australia (Fremantle Terminal) is seeking a bright and motivated Mechanical Plant Apprentice eager to commence their apprenticeship journey by gaining valuable experience working with cutting-edge machinery and equipment essential to global trade operations. As a Mechanical Plant Apprentice you'll play a key role in maintaining, repairing, and servicing heavy equipment used in our port & terminal operations. This role offers a unique opportunity to work in a fast-paced, high-tech environment as you evolve through your mechanical trade qualification with the support from an experienced team. 

We are looking for an Apprentice who: 

  • Wants to learn while they work 
  • Is punctual, reliable and energetic with a strong work ethic 
  • Has excellent mathematical skills and keen attention to detail 
  • Can perform physical tasks and work at heights, with a focus on safety 
  • Holds a valid Driver's Licence with manual being highly desirable
