Collins Adelaide is looking for a PM Tug Operator / Yard Hand in Wingfield, Adelaide
  • Full-time
  • 6pm start time
  • 11 day fortnight - Monday to Friday + alternate weekend shift each fortnight

Collins operates a large fleet of refrigerated vans and tautliners including up to B-triples, delivering both interstate linehaul services and local distribution of frozen, chilled, perishable and general goods.

Your role will focus on trailer movement within our Wingfield depot and will include:

  • Moving trailers on/off loading docks and around depot using a yard tug/prime mover
  • Coupling/uncoupling trucks and trailers
  • Constant communication of trailer movements to operations and team members
  • General yard duties

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Excellent reversing skills of B-Doubles into loading docks
  • Proven ability to couple/uncouple trailers
  • Experience with accurate completion of freight and heavy vehicle paperwork
  • Current HC (or above) licence (preferred)
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift (preferred)
  • Experience with refrigerated transport (preferred)

Experienced drivers who would prefer to stay in a depot, rather than being on the road are also welcome to apply
