Senior Associate - Commercial Law (Generalist)

Ideal Individual

  • A principled, capable commercial lawyer with at least 5 years of post-admission experience in drafting, advisory, and negotiation

The Role:
As a Senior Associate, you'll play a leading role within our client's Commercial team, overseeing client matters and supporting the development of junior lawyers.

You'll be a trusted advisor to a wide-ranging client base, from publicly listed companies and family offices to fast-growth SMEs, and an integral part of the leadership group.

Key Responsibilities Include

  • Leading complex commercial matters and supervising a small team of lawyers and graduates
  • Taking clear, strategic client instructions and translating them into smart, commercial outcomes
  • Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating a wide range of commercial agreements (leases, licences, terms & conditions, service agreements, etc.)
  • Supporting corporate transactions through due diligence and commercial drafting
  • Advising on commercial risk and negotiation strategy
  • Mentoring team members and helping shape a strong, supportive team culture
  • Contributing to firm-wide initiatives and our continued evolution as a modern legal practice

This role reports to the Director and plays a key role in both client delivery and team development. You'll have the autonomy to lead matters while being supported in growing your own practice and professional development.
