Specialised Support Worker – End-of-Life & Elderly / Disability Care

Part-Time / Casual – Shoalhaven area

Every Human Disability Services is seeking a compassionate and experienced Support Worker to provide quality care and companionship to our elderly and end-of-life clients.

This role requires genuine empathy, emotional maturity, and confidence to work independently while providing comfort and dignity to those in their final stages of life.

About the Role

You will provide personalised support to clients in their homes, assisting with daily living and offering emotional reassurance to both clients and their families. Duties may include:

  • Personal care and hygiene support
  • Medication monitoring
  • Meal preparation and domestic assistance
  • Companionship and social engagement
  • Transport to appointments or outings
  • Thorough cleaning and home organisation
  • Supporting mental and emotional wellbeing

This position begins with approximately 2–4 hours every few days, with the potential for additional hours depending on client needs and new contracts. An interest in working with NDIS participants is desirable.

About You

You are dependable, compassionate, and calm under pressure. You find purpose in supporting people with dignity and kindness. You are also:

  • Empathetic, respectful, and emotionally grounded
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
  • Experienced in end-of-life or aged care (or willing to complete training)

Essential Requirements

  • Police Check (issued within the last 3 years)
  • Infection Control certification (issued withing the last 12 mths)
  • First Aid & CPR certification
  • Reliable, insured vehicle
  • 100 points of ID (passport or birth certificate required)
  • Minimum 12 months' experience in personal care or aged care
