Location: City of Melville

Salary: $74,595.08 to $77,231.81 pro-rate p.a. + 12% Superannuation

Employment Type: Permanent Full time, 9 day fortnight

What you will be doing

The role is responsible for maintaining and enhancing the City's vibrant Urban Forest. As an Arborist, you will play a key role in a wide range of activities from amenity and formative tree pruning, planting, and specialised watering and fertilising, to identifying and treating pests and diseases. You will also contribute to auditing works and conducting tree inspections, all in alignment with the City's Arboriculture Maintenance Programs and Urban Forest Strategy.

You will possess these essential criteria:

  • Current 'MR' Class Driver's Licence
  • Experience in safe and efficient operation of chainsaws
  • Certificate II in Arboriculture or equivalent or willing to obtain
  • White Card
  • Knowledge of pruning techniques
  • Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
  • Relevant experience in same or similar industry
