As a Parks & Gardens Apprentice, you'll learn how to maintain and enhance Sydney's parks, gardens, and public spaces, working alongside experienced landscapers on a variety of residential, commercial, and council projects. You'll work toward a nationally recognised Certificate III in Parks & Gardens while gaining hands-on experience in a career that's active, rewarding, and always in demand.
Some of Your Duties Will Include:
- Mowing, weeding, hedge trimming, and general garden maintenance.
- Preparing materials, tools, and work areas for projects.
- Maintaining safe and tidy job sites.
- Assisting with landscaping and minor construction tasks.
- Working across a variety of sites, including parks, universities, hospitals, and council areas.
- Learning to use landscaping tools and machinery safely.
- Supporting team members on large-scale projects and understanding project workflows.
- Following Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) requirements at all times.
What You'll Need to Get Started:
- A genuine interest in Parks & Gardens and working outdoors.
- Ability to perform physically active and sometimes repetitive tasks.
- White Card required; driver's licence preferred but not essential.
- Positive attitude, reliability, and willingness to learn and work with a team.
