We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager with a strong background in the healthcare sector, who will play a pivotal role in driving financial performance, compliance, and strategic growth. You will work closely with the CEO, providing expert insights on budgeting and forecasting, while managing and mentoring a Accounts Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant legislation and NDIS/Aged Care funding guidelines.
- Develop, manage, and monitor budgets, cash flow, and financial forecasting in collaboration with the CEO.
- Provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making and organisational growth.
- Prepare and deliver accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports.
- Lead financial audits and ensure compliance with statutory requirements, including NDIS Practice Standards, Aged Care Quality Standards, and CHSP/HCP funding rules.
- Implement and maintain effective financial controls and processes.
- Mentor and manage the Junior Accounts Manager, providing guidance and support.
- Partner with department heads (NDIS, Allied Health, SIL, Aged Care) to optimise financial performance across all services.
About You
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/CA qualification desirable).
- 3–5 years' experience in a similar finance role within the healthcare sector (NDIS, SIL, Allied Health, CHSP, or HCP experience essential).
- Strong knowledge of NDIS and Aged Care funding models and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop team members.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- High level of attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
